When Tragedies occur in the human always arises the question of permissiveness in the Divine:
"If God exists, why does He allow...?"
The author of "The Odyssey" already expressed in the VIII century before Christ:
"It is to be seen how men relentlessly blame the gods by accusing them of all their evils. And it is they themselves who bring for their own follies, their excess of sorrows."
Taking it to the Catholic plane, if God has given you the Life, the Gifts and through this you have found the Faith, the responsibility for the acts is ours. God is a Father who gives the freedom to decide, otherwise, it would be a permanent Guardian
No matter how much time passes, Homer already anticipates that the tesituras are always repeated 😀😀

324 The fact that God permits physical and even moral evil is a mystery that God illuminates by his Son Jesus Christ who died and rose to vanquish evil. Faith gives us the certainty that God would not permit an evil if he did not cause a good to come from that very evil, by ways that we shall fully know only in eternal life.
