On whether you have to be perfect

In the Catholic sphere and in the media you hear, a lot, that "well you don't have to be so perfect", or that: "you don't have to be perfectionists"

The fact is that God is perfect, and to become with God (which is to reach the Kingdom of Heaven), what is not perfect; does not enter

And enter, receives a denomination and is the aspire to die in Holiness

The indication and advice of our Lord Jesus Christ in this regard is found in a Catholic Bible and in the Gospel book St. Matthew Chapter 5 verse 48 (In the textbooks it appears as Mt 5:48):

"You therefore be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect"

And fashions are fashions, and they are understood to be present, because they are "movements of Society"; but with respect to the Catholic, fashions last very little

The Gospel of St. Matthew, which is also addressed to Paganism, conveys that in behavior, we do not let ourselves be carried away by fashions, and by the mundane (Paganism). But let us aspire to the Resurrection of Eternal Life together with Christ

On that day, God will review us

We can say: "I am sorry, but the fashion of then..."

but to Him:

yes is Yes

and the no is No

And if we ask ourselves: And the maybe?, the perhaps, God calls it:

"My Infinite Mercy"

and we welcome Him

πŸ˜€ Amen πŸ˜€

310 But why did God not create a world so perfect that no evil could exist in it? With infinite power God could always create something better.174 But with infinite wisdom and goodness God freely willed to create a world "in a state of journeying" towards its ultimate perfection. In God's plan this process of becoming involves the appearance of certain beings and the disappearance of others, the existence of the more perfect alongside the less perfect, both constructive and destructive forces of nature. With physical good there exists also physical evil as long as creation has not reached perfection.175

The Shortest Psalm

Within a Catholic Bible (which is composed of books), we have a book called Psalms, which are Songs, Praises, Prayers, Supplications and other expressions to God. These expressions in total are 150 and there are large and small. And the smallest is 117-(116):

P S A L M S

https://www.catholic.org/bible/book.php?id=23&bible_chapter=117

Psalm 117

Verse 1) Alleluia! Praise Yahweh, all nations, extol him, all peoples,

Verse 2) for his faithful love is strong and his constancy never-ending.

It is very beautiful because it is an "Invitation to Praise" (as quoted in the Catholic Bible "DesclΓ©e de Brouwer - Jerusalem Bible" edition 1993)

so that it could be an introductory Psalm, for broader ones, or an initial Psalm for a Ceremony while the people arrived; Since its function is that of invitation

Our Lord Jesus Christ prayed and prayed with them, and the Psalms are a whole School, annotated, of the popular Feeling of the sons of God over hundreds of years

If at any given time, you can't figure out how to express what you want to say to God, you can turn to the Psalms.

πŸ˜€ They are a help πŸ˜€

1770 Moral perfection consists in man's being moved to the good not by his will alone, but also by his sensitive appetite, as in the words of the psalm: "My heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God."46

The Holy Fear of God

In the face of ignorance (Mystery) there is always a surprise and a small fear arises in advance

Especially since we cannot cover that which is unknown. For this reason, when children discover something new, the first gesture is to look out.

And when it comes to God (The Trinity) He reveals Himself as a person through Jesus Christ. But it always does so while preserving part of the Mystery. That is why it is revealed in the particular way that each one requires; so that it may be more effective and part of the Mystery may be preserved. The standard rule would not be valid. And apart from the fact that he can do it this way because he knows us better than anyone :-)

And that Revelation/Closeness is so Great and so Immense and loving that it is IN-encompassing and from there arises a Fear before the Holy, or a Holy Fear, that of not wanting to "dislike" or "damage" something so great and that does you so much good.

And this is the Holy Fear before God

It's a confidence...

with a bit of vertigo

712 The characteristics of the awaited Messiah begin to appear in the "Book of Emmanuel" ("Isaiah said this when he saw his glory,"80 speaking of Christ), especially in the first two verses of Isaiah 11: 81

There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse,

and a branch shall grow out of his roots.

and the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him,

the spirit of wisdom and understanding,

the spirit of counsel and might,

the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD.

Purification of the Holy Virgin Mary

Sometimes when praying the Holy Rosary one is surprised when one prays the mystery where the Virgin Mary had to go to the Temple to Purify herself.

Like the Baptism that Jesus Christ receives in the Jordan River from John the Baptist

And it is that God by infusing his People with a behavior that becomes a word, the Word, by inhabiting the Earth, realizes His Word

And the full of Grace, His Holy Mother too

144 To obey (from the Latin ob-audire, to "hear or listen to") in faith is to submit freely to the word that has been heard, because its truth is guaranteed by God, who is Truth itself. Abraham is the model of such obedience offered us by Sacred Scripture. The Virgin Mary is its most perfect embodiment.

Saint Frances of Rome

The difference between the narration of Heaven, Purgatory, and Hell that Dante and a Saint makes, is that in the case of Dante it is a Literary narrative with human origin and the case of a Saint the Divinity discovers a little the veil of what separates us an abyss

This is the case of St. Frances Romana who in writings reflects her visions. She saw:

St. Frances Romana receiving Holy Communion

"the immensity of the starry sky, its splendor, and the enormous distance that separates some stars from others. Many of them seemed to him larger than the earth. The starry sky gave him an idea of an unknown and unimagined splendor."

And in the case of the first 2 previous sentences Science has shown it

It also reflects what Jesus Christ transmitted to him:

"And Christ said to the seer, 'I am the depth of divine power. I have created the sky, the earth, the rivers and the seas. I am divine wisdom. I am the height and the depth; I am the immense sphere, the height of love, the inestimable charity. By my obedience, founded on humility, I have redeemed mankind."

With respect to those years

Sometimes it comes to me about what could have happened with respect to those years in which the VΓda de JesuCristo is not known. And I have always answered that if it does not appear in the Bible it is because it is not necessary for the Faith.

And curiously I read in the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

514 Many things about Jesus of interest to human curiosity do not figure in the Gospels. Almost nothing is said about his hidden life at Nazareth, and even a great part of his public life is not recounted.172 What is written in the Gospels was set down there "so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name."173

Carpenter Dad and Carpenter Son

And it's not that you read the Bible so you can learn more about what could have happened. But the Bible is read to feed us what is sufficient to increase our faith.

In the Bible the extraordinary facts of how Divine Action acts through the action of Men to fix and grow the Faith are recounted.

πŸ˜€ And writing it, make ours grow, today πŸ˜€

Beware of your own interpretations

because our Brothers what they are, are Souls
